Salon Aux Chandelles, Inc. is a New York-based nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to charitable and educational purposes through music. We advance public appreciation and understanding of the performing arts by producing intimate, high-caliber concert salons that combine world-class artistry with accessible cultural education and meaningful community engagement.

Our mission

We exist to enrich lives through music—cultivating emotional well-being, cultural connection, and a deeper public understanding of classical and contemporary repertoire through live performance and education.

What we do

Our core program is a series of salon-style concerts in New York City that are open to the public and designed to deepen the audience’s relationship with music through context and connection. Our activities include:

  • Public performances featuring professional musicians and thoughtfully curated programs

  • Educational components such as program notes, spoken introductions, and post-performance discussion that illuminate the history, structure, and meaning of the music

  • Community access initiatives (for example: discounted or sponsored seats, student access, and partner invitations through schools and community organizations)

  • Artist support and development, providing paid, professionally produced opportunities that help exceptional musicians share their work with broader audiences

Who we serve

We serve the general public, including New Yorkers and visitors seeking culturally enriching experiences, with a focus on expanding access for communities who may face barriers to the performing arts.

Stewardship and public trust

Salon Aux Chandelles is organized and operated exclusively to further its mission. No part of the organization’s net earnings benefits private individuals, and we do not participate in political campaigns. Contributions support mission-driven programming—artist fees, venue and production costs, educational materials, and access initiatives—so that more people can experience the power of live music in a setting that encourages genuine human connection.

What we’ve accomplished so far

To date, Salon Aux Chandelles has produced 13 sold-out salons and built a growing community of patrons and culture-seekers who return for both the artistry and the deeper sense of connection these evenings foster.

Salon Aux Chandelles will present its Season Finale at Carnegie Hall on April 2, 2026.
